He attended the Guildford School of Acting where he did a three year musical theatre course. Before that he attended the National Youth Music Theatre from 1990 to 1995. Tom has spent a few months perfecting and recreating a Fred Estaire tap routine from the film "A Damsel In Distress". 800 copies of this were sent out to various producers and directors in the business. This was how he landed his casting as Sam in Holby City. Tom’s dance partner on Strictly Come Dancing will be Camilla Dallerup.
