Denise van Outen, born 27 May 1974, is an English actress, singer and television presenter.
Denise van Outen is among one of the fourteen celebrity contestants who will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing series 10.
Denise van Outen will be dancing with professional dancer James Jordan.
Her most notable roles to date are as a presenter on The Big Breakfast, and as Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago on both the West End and on Broadway.
At a very young age, Denise began modeling for knitting patterns, and showed an early flair for performing. This resulted in Denise attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School. At the age of 12, she played Eponine in Les Misérables alongside fellow Sylvia Young student Melanie Blatt, the Anthony Newley directed production of Stop the World – I Want to Get Off, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Denise currently narrates the popular ITV2 reality television series The Only Way Is Essex. In 2011, she was a judge on the panel of Born To Shine on ITV1. In 2012, Denise was a panelist on That Sunday Night Show on 4 March and Mad Mad World on 7 July.
