Richard Arnold

Richard Arnold, born 24 November 1969, is a British television presenter. Richard Arnold is currently working with ITV Breakfast and Seven Network.

Richard Arnold is among one of the fourteen celebrity contestants who will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing series 10.

Richard Arnold will be dancing with professional dancer Erin Boag.

He is a firmly established journalist and presenter. Richard came to prominence as a cheeky showbiz reporter on GMTV, known for his quick wit, baner and encyclopedic knowledge of TV.

Richard was born in Hampshire, grew up in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, and attended University of Edinburgh, gaining a MA in English Language and Literature. He went on to study journalism at City University London. He also worked for Inside Soap magazine until 1995.

Since leaving the GMTV sofa in 2010, Richard has hosted Soap Challenge, Loose Lips and The Planet’s Funniest Animals. In June 2012, he returned to early mornings as showbiz editor on Daybreak.

Away from the television screen Richard writes a weekly column for Hello! Magazine, Woman’s Own and regularly contributes articles to national newspapers.

Richard in 2010 teamed up with former Strictly Come Dancing contestant and colleague Kate Garraway to perform on Let’s Dance for Sport Relief. The danced to ‘Born to Hand Jive’, from the musical Grease,. Richard and Kate won their heat and made it to the final.
