Judge of Strictly Come Dancing
Len Goodman, (born April 24, 1942) is a professional dance judge, who was born in Bethnal Green. He teaches ballroom and Latin dancing at the school he runs in Dartford, Kent. He started dancing around the age of 20. He turned professional, won various competitions, and retired from dancing after winning the British Championships in his late twenties. His son, with his former wife and dancing partner Cherry, is also a dancer.
Len is the head judge on the Strictly Come Dancing series. He has his own dance studio in his hometown of Dartford, Kent.
Len is also the head judge on Dancing with the Stars, which is the American version of Strictly Come Dancing.
Craig Revel Horwood (born 1967) is a dancer, born in Ballarat, Australia. He is a choreographer, and theatre director in the United Kingdom.
Craig started his career as a dancer in Melbourne, later he moved to London to make use of the greater opportunities available in there.
Some of Craig’s West End hits include ‘Spend Spend Spend’ and ‘My One and Only’. Both of these gained him the Laurence Olivier Award nominations for Best Choreography.
Some of Craig’s regional theatre choreography credits include ‘Pal Joey’, ‘Arcadia’, ‘On the Razzle’, and ‘My One and Only’ at the Chichester Festival Theatre, ‘Guys and Dolls’ in Sheffield, ‘Anything Goes’ and ‘South Pacific’ for Grange Park Opera, and ‘Hot Mikado’ at the Watermill Theatre in Newbury.
There have been other international productions including ‘Crazy for You’ (South Africa), ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ and ‘Sweet Charity’ (Amsterdam and Holland national tour), ‘Chess’ (Denmark), ‘Bonheur’ (Paris), ‘Der Kuhandel’ (Austria), and ‘Glanzlichter’ (Berlin).
Craig is one of the judges on Strictly Come Dancing and Comic Relief does Fame Academy. He has a reputation of being the harshest of the SCD judges.
Craig is a guest judge on the 2007 series of Dancing with the Stars in New Zealand.
Arlene Phillips OBE (born in 1944) is a British dance choreographer.
Arlene attended the Muriel Tweedy School of Dance. She created ‘Hot Gossip’ in 1975, which was a group that changed the style of dance on British television. She also choreographed many West End and Broadway shows, numerous music videos, commercials and TV shows.
Arlene is one of the judges on Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC’s Saturday night "DanceX" talent show with Bruno Tonioli.
Bruno Tonioli (born on 25th of November 1955) is an Italian dancer and professional choreographer. He is from Ferrara in North-East Italy. He is a judge on both Strictly Come Dancing and its American adaptation, Dancing with the Stars.
In the late seventies and early eighties Bruno was a leading dance teacher at London's acclaimed Dance Centre. He choreographed and appeared in Elton John's ‘I'm still standing’ video.
Bruno can speak fluently in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
Bruno was a judge on the talent show DanceX along with Arlene Phillips.
