Ex-Corrie star voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Ex-Coronation Street actor Brian Capron has been given the boot in BBC 1's Strictly Come Dancing show.
The star is the first to be evicted from the new series and got a measly single vote to stay on after being asked to dance again, along with rugby player Kenny Logan, for the judges.

In the show - which narrowly failed to beat ITV's X Factor in the TV ratings stakes at the weekend - Capron was criticised for waltzing "from six feet under".
One judge said his dancing was "less like a performance and more like a wake", while another opted for a less harsh stance by stating that "it wasn't a ballroom disaster".
After the vote, Capron's dancing partner, Karen, said: "It's always an honour to dance on Strictly Come Dancing and dancing with Brian - I loved every second.
"I used to watch him as a teacher on Grange Hill and never thought I'd end up being his teacher."
Capron played serial killer Richard Hillman in Coronation Street, with his spree involving murdering ex-wife Patricia and local resident Maxine Peacock, before plunging to his death while attempting to kill off Gail, Sarah, David and Bethany Platt.
