Cricketer expects a sporting hat-trick in the ballroom
02 October 2007, nowmagazine.co.uk
Mark Ramprakash has tipped John Barnes to complete a hat-trick of sporting victories on Strictly Come Dancing.
'I've heard John has got some great moves,' says Mark, 37.
'Being a fantastic footballer, with good feet and good balance, it doesn't really surprise me that he's got rhythm and coordination.
'I think sportsmen and women have an attitude that can help them in this kind of competition,' he tells the Daily Express.
'The fitness is definitely an advantage and sports people also tend to have this competitive element, which means they want to do well and win.'
For the record: Mark just topped this year's batting tables with an average of 101. Looks like the ballroom has helped him rattle off the runs too.
