Matt Di Angelo (born on 6th August 1987) is a British actor who currently plays fictional character Deano Wicks in the British soap EastEnders since 2 January 2006. Matt who grew up watching EastEnders says his favourite characters were Pat and Barry.

Matt is half-Irish and half-Greek, and has no British in him. He has lived in London his whole life and hence the Cockney accent.
Matt said he was working in a shoe shop when he found out he got the part of Deano Wicks in EastEnders. His first TV role was in Harbour Lights when he was 13 years old. It has been announced on the 18th August 2007 that Matt would be leaving EastEnders following the departure of Phil Daniels (Kevin Wicks).

Matt went to Sylvia Young Theatre School for 4 years.
Matt also played Felix in the TV programme I Dream. Because of this he gained a few appearances in Sunday morning kids TV show Smile. Matt has appeared in a few TV commercials and done some modelling.
Matt supports Arsenal and he says he never searches for his own name on the internet.
Matt has a younger brother called Deano (like his character in EastEnders) and a sister called Demi, and also has 2 older brothers.
Matt will be taking part in series 5 of the Strictly Come Dancing show, following in ex co star Louisa Lytton's footsteps, and his dance partner will be Flavia Cacace.
