Stephanie Beacham (born 28 February 1947) is an English actress who was born in Casablanca, Morocco but brought up in Hertfordshire, England.

Stephanie is one of four children; she has a brother, Richard, and a sister, Diana. Her mum had chicken pox when she was pregnant to her which is why she can only hear from her left ear. She attended a girls private school and later travelled to France and studied mime with Etienne St Creux before attending RADA. Initially her aim was to teach dance movement to deaf children, but she began a career in modelling and then was cast for several parts in films.

Stephanie appeared in many television shows such as ‘The Saint’ and ‘Jason King’, but her first successful role was when she played Georgina Layton in the daytime soap ‘Marked Personal’. Stephanie’s first starring film role was opposite Marlon Brando in 1972's The Nightcomers directed by Michael Winner. Later she was cast as Jessica Van Helsing in Hammer's Dracula A.D. 1972 alongside Peter Cushing.
Stephanie’s most well-remembered roles, was as the deceitful matriarch Sable Colby on the television series ‘The Colbys’. She played a main role in the popular prison drama Bad Girls. She played inmate Phyl Oswyn for four years, partnered with Amanda Barrie as the "Costa Cons". She first appeared in series five in 2003, and continued to the final series in 2006. She also starred on the 2006 movie ‘Love and Other Disasters’.
Stephanie was married to fellow actor John McEnery for over 10 years, and they had two children together, Phoebe and Chloe
At present Stephanie is touring as leading lady in the UK Tour of Noel Coward's Hay Fever. She will also be competing in the 2007 series of Strictly Come Dancing and her dance partner will be Vincent Simone.
