Iveta Lukosiute was born (born in 1980) in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Iveta moved to the U.S. in 1997 and she has been dancing since she the age of six. She is a World Champion Professional 10-Dance of the World Dance Council, and her specialties are Ballroom and Latin.
Iveta Lukosiute started training in Ballroom at the age of 6, and over the last few years have taken Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop.
When fox.com asked Iveta “what would people be most surprised to learn about her?”
This what she said: “People are always surprised when they see my drawings. People see me as a successful Ballroom dancer and are always shocked to learn that I had a normal job as a shampoo girl, or that I was a caregiver on the weekends. They are also surprised to learn that I was 30 pounds heavier.”
Iveta Lukosiute is two times World Professional 10 Dance Champion and five times US National and North American Professional 10 Dance Champion. She has also performed in the US version of So You Think You Can Dance. She will be replacing Aliona Vilani (because ALiona’s injury) and dancing with Johnny Ball in Strictly Come Dancing series 10.
