Claudia Anne I. Winkleman, born 15 January 1972, is an English television presenter, film critic, radio personality and journalist.
Cluadia, presented Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two until she left the show due to her pregnancy in 2011. On her return she started to co-host the Sunday night results show with Tess Daly.
It Takes Two, which started in 2004, was devised as a companion show to run conjoined with the second series of Strictly Come Dancing (23 October to 11 December 2004), and continues to run to date. It follows a similar format to the one Claudia made popular on Fame Academy, and sees her deliberating and dissecting the ins and outs of the main competition, accompanied by an array of dance experts, assorted guests and the competitors themselves. The show is aired every weekday throughout the course of the series at 6:30pm on BBC Two.
The Strictly Come Dancing’s four judges sometimes appear on the programme, with the series celebrity contestants, costume designers, fans etc…
One of the show’s features is “Len’s Masterclass,” a segment in which Head Judge Len Goodman demonstrates with Claudia a dance move or two. Her attempts to follow the steps are accompanied by much girlish giggling.
Claudia has presented a range of BBC TV shows, including: Let’s Dance for Sport Relief, The Eurovision Song Contest and Comic Relief. She also presented Film 2011, and The Radio 2 Arts Show.
