Zoë Louise Ball, born 23 November 1970, is an English television and radio personality, most famous for becoming the first female host of The Radio 1 Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 1 and for her earlier work presenting the 1990s children’s show, Live & Kicking.
Zoe Ball first presented Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two when Claudia Winkleman left on her maternity leave during 2011 series 9. Zoe Ball will be returning to the Strictly Come Dancing team presenting Strictly’s BBC Two weekday sister show, It Takes Two in 2012.
Zoe Ball became the first woman to solely front Radio 1’s Breakfast Show and has since hosted a number of shows, including the BRIT Awards, The Priory, Strictly Dance Fever and Sky Art’s Summer Festivals.
Zoe appeared in Strictly Come Dancing Series 3 in 2005 as celebrity contestant. She has first hand experience of the show and has also presented the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour. Zoe’s father Johnny Ball is a celebrity contestant in 2012 Strictly Come Dancing Series 10.
