Tom Chambers is crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2008

Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing show was split into two shows. The later one saw Lisa Snowdon being eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing and the other two couples competing for the title. Lisa and Brendon danced their freestyle show dance before the other couples took to the floor.
Tom Chambers and Rachel Stevens danced the Viennese Waltz along with their partners to the same piece of music. Len said that Rachel’s footwork was better than Tom’s. Bruno said that Rachel was a dancing delight and Craig said that Rachel and Vincent stood out because they had fewer rises and falls. After this they danced their freestyle show dance. The judges only commented on their dances, it was up to the public to decide who will be crowned Strictly Come Dancing champions 2008.

While the votes were being counted and verified there was a special performance from the previous champions of SCD along with their professional partners. Winner of 2004, Jill Halfpenny and partner Darren Bennett, winner of 2005, Darren Gough and partner Lilia Kopilova, winner of 2006, Mark Ramprakash and partner Karen Hardy and winner of 2007, Alesha Dixon and partner Matthew Cutler danced a spectacular group dance.

After this it was announced that Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup were the champions of Strictly Come Dancing 2008.
