The first couple to perform was actress Natalie Cassidy and her partner Vincent Simone. They danced the Tango and scored 6+ 6+ 6+ 6 = 24.
Len commented, ‘You should be happy, you got through it without a mistake’. Bruno said, ‘The choreography was very good but very difficult’.
The second couple to perform was Zoe Lucker and James Jordan. They danced the Waltz and scored 7 + 8 + 7 + 8 = 30.
Alisha said, ‘It was so romantic and you made your first dance make it look so easy’.
Craig, ‘Sickly, sweet, sentiment was the start. But when you started dancing it was simple and elegant’.
Next up was Craig Kelly and partner Flavia Cacace. They danced the Tango to A R Rahman’s music ‘Jai Ho’ and scored 5 + 6 + 5 + 6 = 22.
Len said ‘Welcome to Strictly Craig. It’s difficult to say anything good about someone with the name Craig’.
Craig said, ‘The music was very interesting’ but he didn’t have anything good to say about their dance.
Next up were racing legend Richard Dunwoody and partner Lilia Kopylova. They danced the Waltz and scored 4 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 19.
Bruno said, ‘Compared to the monstrious Mambo last week, this is a masterpiece. It wasn’t good but there’s hope’.
There was a group dance performance from the other eight couples, who danced their individual dances last week. This danced was choreographed by professional dancer and ex-strictly come dancing winner Karen Hardy. They danced to some
The couple to dance next was actress Laila Rouass and partner Anton Du Beke. They danced the Tango and scored 7 + 8 + 7 + 8 = 30.
Craig said, ‘Your hand was some terrible limp wet fish.’
Len said, ‘You know what I like and you gave it to me. Straight in the hold straight into dance.’
Next couple to dance was Phil Tufnell and Katya Vir…… They danced the Waltz and scored 7 + 8 + 7 + 7 = 29.
Len said, ‘I balled over, you had a naturalness about it. The best footwork of the night so far.’
The couple to dance next was model and entrepreneur Jo Wood and partner Brendon Cole. They danced the Tango and scored 3 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 18.
Craig said, ‘Very careless, lacked real line or form.
Len said, ‘You didn’t let anyone down you got out there and you did well. Started with a shout ended with a whimper.’
The last couple to dance was actor Ricky Whittle and partner Natalie Lowe. They danced the Waltz and scored 8 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 33.
Bruno said, ‘That was a dream come true the most stunning debu from anyone.’
Len said, ‘You’re the one to beat after seeing all the ballroom dances.’
The couples who danced tonight will be performing their second dance tomorrow night, which will be a Latin dance.
