First dance of the night was performed by the Crimewatch presenter and ex-Policeman Rav Wilding with new comer Aliona Vilani. Rav performed a tango, but lost it in the middle and had a bit of a bottom sticking out issue. The couple scored a total of 19 out of 40.
Second was the Eastenders’ favourite Ricky Groves and Strictly regular Erin Boag. Ricky looked petrified whilst dancing a nice waltz and kissed his wedding ring at the end of the dance. Their dance picked 21 out of 40.
The third couple to gaze the floor was BBC Breakfast hobbit Chris Collins and sexy Ola Jordan who danced a smooth tango. It really took two to tango. Good footwork and characterisation. The judges liked it and couple ended up second on the leader board scoring 26 out of 40.
Long-jumper Jade Johnson and professional dancer Ian Waite were up next and performed a waltz. Jade had a good technique and got some good praise from the judges and scored 25 out of 40.
Tennis star Martina Hinges and Matthew Cutler took the floor next. Martina started out well but needed to work on her core strength according to Len Goodman. The couple scored 22 out of 40.
Oxo Mum and Loose Woman Lynda Bellingham danced next with Darren Bennett. She danced a very animated-in-the-face tango but didn’t do too much dancing, said the judges. The couple scored 21 out of 40.
Hollyoaks and The Bill actress Ali Bastian and American Boy and the American Brian Fortuna performed next. Their waltz scored very decent 30 out of 40 and came top of the judges leaderboard. Ali and Brian also received the coveted “Fab. U. Lous.” from Craig.
The last to couple to dance was the no nonsense boxer Joe Calzaghe and his partner Kristina Rihanoff. Their tango picked lowest of the night 16 mark out of 40 and were at the bottom of the judges leader board.
The show ended with a group mambo, making the fans carve more on Saturday night.
