Bruno said ‘I love watching you, you bring to the stage warm sunset glow, very difficult choreography.’
Craig said, ‘I actually liked it very very much. Difficult timing you handled it very well.’
The next couple to dance was Lynda Bellingham and Darren Bennett. Lynda was wearing a flaming red dress. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 5 + 7 + 7 + 6 = 25.
Len said ‘you want sharp precise movements, a bit of drama. And Lynda you kept in character, a bit like master chef where you needed a bit of flavour.’
The next couple to dance was Chris Hollins and partner Ola Jordan. They danced the Quickstep and scored 5 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 23.
Alisha said, ‘Dancing does come naturally to you. There is a difference between hearing the music and feeling it, but you do both well.’
Craig , ‘You have to point your foot, it is essential, your butt is sticky out, footwork wasn’t too bad, having said all of it your face was completely selling it.’
The couple to dance next was Zoe Lucker and James Jordan. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 7 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 31.
Bruno said, ‘You did beautiful fingers.’
Craig said, ‘You were completely in control of the dance. The shapes and lines were really great.’
The next couple to dance was Rav Wilding and Aliona Vilani. They danced the Quickstep and scored 3 + 6 + 5 + 6 = 20.
Craig said, ‘ Oh dear! Disjointed is one word to describe. Very laboured pivots, the arms were Orangutanish.’
Alisha said, ‘It was a bit cheesy for me, all that fluffing around. It’s easy to be on hold but you were left alone far too much.’
The next couple to dance was Natalie Cassidy and Vincent Simone. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 6 + 7 + 8 + 7 = 28.
Craig said, ‘That has the makings of a really great routine, although you need a lot more strength, I really loved the content.’
The couple to dance was actor Craig Kelly and partner Flavia Cacace. They danced the Quickstep and scored 4 + 6 + 6 + 5 = 21.
Len said, ‘The trouble is if you make a mistake in Quickstep, it’s like a snowball.’
Bruno said, ‘Love is all over, that was a disaster. You were around there like Humpty Dumpty. This was really really bad.’
The next couple to dance was Ricky Whittle and Natalie Lowe. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 8 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 35.
Craig said, ‘Yes, yes yes! I cannot say it was perfect. But fabulous.’
Len said, ‘You can smell the bull and the Spanish onions in that.’
The couple to dance was Jade Johnson and Ian Waite. They danced the Quickstep and scored 7 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 31.
Len said, ‘I liked it, I know you’re good at long jump but I didn’t think you needed to practise that in Quickstep.’
The next couple to dance was Jo Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 3 + 5 + 6 + 5 = 19.
Alisha said, ‘An improvement Joe. You really were charming through that.’
Craig said, ‘Starchy stiff too static, it had more movement than a dead man dancing.’
Next up was Laila Rouass and partner Anton Du Beke. They danced the Quickstep and scored 8 + 8 + 7 + 7 = 30.
Bruno said, ‘You nearly back on the game. There was a moment of greatness to it. But your foot went wrong.’
Len said, ‘At last a diamond comes out to the floor, beautiful control, beautiful choreography, shame about the mistake.’
The next couple to dance was Jo Wood and Brendon Cole. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 3 + 6 + 6 + 5 = 20.
Craig said, ‘I feel that the central core has failed you miserably. But I have seen some improvement in you.’
Alisha said, ‘I was wishing you to do well. The balance is the thing you need to work on. I feel like that when you’re not in Brendon’s hold you might wobble over.’
The couple to dance next was cricketer Phil Tuffnell and Katya Virshilas. They danced the Quickstep and scored 5 + 6 + 6 + 7 = 24.
Bruno said, ‘You really have a happy go lucky personality. You were sailing away and you hit the ice burg.’
The last couple to dance was actor Ricky Groves and Erin Boag. They danced the Paso Doble and scored 7 + 7 + 8 + 7 =29.
Craig said, ‘Well I would have liked to see a little bit more fines. Your hands look like ice cream scoops sometimes.’
The professional dancers performed the Foxtrot, which will be performed by the competitors next week. They were Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace, Brendon Cole and Katya Vishilas and Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe. Another dance that the couples will be performing next week is Salsa and Richard Marcelle and his Salsa dancers performed this.
As a last performance for the night Andy Williams sang the ‘Classic Moon River’ with a dance number from professional dancers, Matthew Cutler and partner Aliona Vilani and Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova.
The two couples who ended up in the bottom two were Lynda Bellingham and partner Darren Bennett and Rav Wilding and partner Aliona Vilani. All three judges Craig, Alisha and Bruno saved Lynda and Darren. When Bruce Forsythe asked who Len Goodman would have saved he said the same, Lynda and Darren. Which meant that Rav Wilding and Aliona Vilani were out of Strictly Come Dancing.
